I had fishes too, as a teen. They die so easily, maybe because while kept in the aquarium, they mate inside the family, and the little fishes are born weakened because of it.
I don’t think losing a fish hurts as much as losing a cat or dog. I don’t mean to sound insensitive, but it seems one gets more attached to other pets. Of course, it depends on the individual. Fishes don’t live very long, though.
Sorry to hear about poor Orion. Hope you don’t take it too hard. Love Half Moon Nebula. Unique name.
