Humans hit the snooze button again and again as if to ask permission for another 40, 30, 20 winks.
Humans, liberate yourselves from your electronic roosters!
We Cats hear the bleeping alarm more clearly than you ever will, given your inferior ears, yet we do not budge.
We Cats embrace the sanctity of sleep.
We hear your Smartphone chimes and whistles and beeps and unfortunate musical selections and ignore them all.
Enlightened Humans, though few and far between, understand that they need only wake up to serve their Cats.
Don’t worry, Humans–we will wake you when we want you.
–Quicksilver

Now that explains why my two wake me a quarter to 4 am

Mine (now, four!) wake me promptly just before sunrise. I am indeed a humble feline servant.

You are so right, Tabbies–we often like our Humans awake in the wee hours of the morning, too. We don’t expect them to anything–we just like to have our servants concise in case we get hungry, bored, or just feel like a good ear scritching.
