If it’s any sort of rodent, I suggest you pick it up with a couple of layers of paper towel if it’s dead and commend it to your outside trash. If it’s alive, I suggest you commend it to a brave mouse killer or to quick death by decapitation. Mice are very frequently disease vectors, and some mouse-vectored diseases are extremely serious, or even fatal, such as Hanta virus. Cats are usually not susceptible to Hanta virus but humans can be very susceptible.
