It really depends. If you want quick access to anything your human might have to offer you (willingly or not) – it has to be paws out. But if you do not want your humans to see the beauty and sweetness of your well groomed, immaculate white paws, better hide them – or you run the risk that they touch them with their greasy fingers!

In our house we have a loaf cat (with paws tucked), a diva with one paw outstretched always and a paw crosser. It’s always interesting to see how cats like to pose their paws.

I don’t mind if paws are tucked or not. But I insist upon a tail tuck, to protect household surfaces from the dreaded cat arse.
